Line Judge Fee Explained


As you are well aware, Sparks-A-Rama & AwanaGames are major events in our region. Thousands hear the Gospel message at the various sessions. However it is vital to the running of these events that each participating church provide qualified workers to assist with the running of the events. Unfortunately, not all churches do so. Therefore, to address this problem, a few changes have been made to the Line Judge certification process.

A separate $20 check must be included along with your registration fee for each team registered (Combined boys/girls teams on the same line need only submit one extra check). So if you register a Sparks and Club team, two $20 checks must be submitted, along with regular registration.

If all the following conditions are met, the $20 check will be returned after the event:

  1. Line Judge is present at the local Coaches/Judges Meeting.
  2. The Line Judge test is turned in on time.
  3. The same Line Judge who was at the Coaches/Judges Meeting is at their assigned circle, in proper official's shirt, at least 30 minutes prior to the event starting (must also have passed test).

Also, if the above conditions are met, the Line Judge earns two bonus points for their team. These points will be posted prior to the start of the event, and are in addition to sportsmanship points earned later. For boys/girls teams on the same line, each team gets the bonus points.

If the above conditions are not met, the $20 will go to the Awana Camp Scholarship Fund.

REGISTRATION FORMS: Please be sure to use proper registration forms for your event and location. Registration forms sent to the wrong event coordinator will be returned. Forms must arrive at the correct location, with proper funding, to be considered for registration.
