Our Mission:
To introduce the ministry of Awana to local churches, and to be a servant in helping them have a greater impact on their communities - helping our "churches and parents raise children and youth to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ."
We now serve over 102 Awana churches in southeast Tennessee. Because of God's blessing on our ministry in Tennessee and north Alabama for the last 24 years we are now reaching well over 35,000 children and teenagers with more than 7,000 Awana leaders in 650 churches in Tennessee and north Alabama alone. We have averaged nearly 20 to 30 new ministries each year for the last several years. We've had such a tremendous growth in our ministry that we've added 4 more missionaries to help serve Tennessee and north Alabama..
George Barna has determined that 80% of all salvation decisions are made by people between the ages of 4 & 14 years old and by the time a child reaches 13 years old his beliefs, priorities, and character are pretty well etched in stone. That makes our ministry to children one of the most important ministries in the local church yet many churches still do not make children a priority! If there is any hope to change America, that hope lies in changing our children.
Our Hope:
That all children and youth throughout the world will come to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Goals:
- Emphasizing the importance of reaching & training of children before they become adults.
- Provide our churches and leaders with tools, materials and training for highly effective children and youth ministries
- Challenge our churches and leaders to want to reach and disciple whole families for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Strategy:
- Introducing the ministry of Awana to local churches.
- Providing our churches with training for effective children and youth ministries.
- Speak for church services, clubs, schools, colleges, and special events.
- Develop and administrate Awana Ministry Training Conferences to benefit local church ministries.
- Conduct area-wide activities: Bible Quizzing, AwanaGames, Sparks-a-Rama, 24/7 weekend.
- Develop Ministry Teams of adults with a passion for ministry to help serve our churches.
Our Support Needs:
Awana Missionaries are Faith Support Missionaries. They are completely dependent upon the gifts of God's people to meet their living and working expenses. Each month their financial needs are met only as churches and individuals share in their ministry.
We sincerely appreciate and thank God for each and every church, family, and individual who help to meet our support needs. We count it a great privilege to be your Awana Missionaries. If your church is supporting us, we thank you for deeming us a worthy ministry to invest in.
If your church has not yet added us to their missions' budget, would you please ask them to consider our needs? We hope that one day all of our Awana churches will realize the importance and benefits of helping their Awana Missionary stay on the job. If you would like to partner with us, please complete the "Faith Promise Form" to establish a reoccuring mail-in donation or you can now donate online! May God richly bless you and your ministry for your faithfulness.
